American Revolution PropagandaAmerican Revolution propaganda was mainly based around colonial influence. The Continental Congress was trying to get support for the fight for independence and the propaganda produced provided a major impact for the cause. Posters such as "Join or Die" was trying implying that if colonial states didn't join in the fight for freedom, they would perish under British oppression and American opposition. The American propaganda was also produced to get people to stand up and speak about the tyranny they faced, as seen by the "Liberty Begins with You!" and "Fight for Freedom, not Tyranny " posters. These propaganda posters would have a great impact on the people as they would rise up and fight for freedom and overthrow the oppressive British tyranny that ruled over them. Colonists also produced propaganda to show the drastic effects on them, such as the stamp act repeal drawing by Benjamin Franklin. With this helpful propaganda, America would win support for its fight for freedom, even coming from the European nation of France. French fighters would join the American cause in the name of liberty and help Americans gain freedom and equality they desired for so long !

French Revolution PropagandaFrench Revolution propaganda was all about gaining support for the Revolution as well. The French Revolution propaganda was a major promoter of unity among the lower class to help the overthrow of the monarchy. The "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity" poster emphasized the goals of the Revolution and what the lower class should unite and fight for. Many French pieces of propaganda promoted nationalism and fervent national loyalty, as seen by the propaganda below. The lower class was also highly influenced by propaganda that degraded them as seen by the picture of the first and second estate crushing the third estate with taxes. Seeing how they were treated made the third estate people realize that their troubles weren't hidden and that they had a just cause for revolution.
